EDC Las Vegas 2013: Who’s Missing?
Some Top Performers Are Missing From EDC Initial Lineup, Here’s A List
By now we’ve all seen the anticipated lineup for EDC Las Vegas. After looking through it, I noticed some names that I was looking forward to seeing were not there. Since EDCLV is known as the hallmark festival by Insomniac, it is supposed to bring the most talented lineup with the biggest names. I know some people who feel that if a certain artist isn’t there, their night won’t be as good or satisfying. Personally, I’m NOT one of those people as even though some of my favorites weren’t on the original list as I still recognize the insane amount of talent that will be at the festival and I look forward to the experience with my friends. There is still a chance though that some of our favorite DJ’s will be added as at the bottom of the lineup, Insomniac states that more will be announced. In case you were wondering who won’t be there as of now, I’ve compiled a basic list of some bigger DJ’s. Please feel free to comment if I missed anyone important so I can update the list!

It’s no secret that Dillon Francis’ new song “When We Were Young” is a hit. What might be is the fact that a remix might’ve just outdid the original.
Ever find a song that makes you think about the climax of a set, or even the climax of a festival for that matter? While listening to this new track by DubVision and Michael Brun I closed my eyes and found myself with my girl at a festival just taking it all in. Some songs will do that to you.
Audien has come out with a brand new track called “Circles”, out today. The track features the beautiful vocals of Ruby Prophet and a catchy, upbeat melody that is sure to have you smiling.
Trapstyle producer, Mayhem, showed up big this week with his remix of the oh-so-ratchet “Type of Way” by Rich Homie Quan. I love this track because he took a song that was already a catchy heavy hitter and stepped it up in all areas – the horns, the bass, the cymbals.
Rising EDM star DJ Cole Plante and worldwide interactive entertainment software company Electronic Arts are teaming up to give aspiring DJs and musicians the chance to remix the anthem of one of the world’s most famous games. EA has announced the kickoff of the Tetris® Blitz Remix Challenge, an online contest that gives participants the opportunity to create their own remix of the iconic Tetris theme song, “Korobeiniki”, to be featured in the Tetris Blitz mobile game.
I love Showtek. I love their track “Booyah”. And I especially love Cash Cash. Put all three together and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to handle myself! Spinnin’ Records released a few “Booyah” remixes today and this one especially caught my eye.
Diplo has released his new EP entitled “Revolution”, and it is chalk full of great tracks and collaborations!
